Unprotected Tenancy Deposit Claim Kit (England)
Prepare your own claim for 1x to 3x your deposit under section 214 of the Housing Act 2004.
GBP 19 one-off. Instant download after payment. No VAT is charged.
What this is
A set of 12 plain-English documents that take you, in order, from checking whether your deposit was protected to issuing a county court claim on form N208 and, if the court orders payment, enforcing it. If a landlord in England did not protect your deposit in an authorised scheme, or did not give you the required deposit information, within 30 days, the court must award you between one and three times the deposit. The judge decides the amount. This kit helps you do the preparation yourself.

Who it is for
Tenants in England, or people who paid a deposit on a tenant's behalf, who rent from a private landlord or through a letting agent and want to bring their own claim. Tenancy deposit protection in England is governed by sections 212 to 215 of the Housing Act 2004.
Jurisdiction
England only. Not for Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland. Not for lodgers, social-housing tenants or claims by landlords.
What it is not
- It is not legal advice. Noverquis Ltd is not a law firm and is not regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority or any other legal regulator.
- It does not promise or predict an outcome or an amount. The court decides whether you succeed and how much, between 1x and 3x.
- It does not include the official court forms. You download form N208 (and form N215 if you serve the claim yourself) free from GOV.UK.
- It does not replace a solicitor where your claim is large, the landlord disputes the facts, the landlord is abroad, or you fear for your home. The kit tells you when to take advice.
- The claim route involves a costs risk if you lose. The kit explains it before you issue.
How delivery works
After payment you are taken to a download page and sent a confirmation email. The documents are digital files (Markdown text files that open in any text editor or word processor). There is nothing posted to you.
Your right to cancel
This is digital content. By ticking the box at checkout you ask us to give you access immediately and you accept that you lose your 14-day right to cancel once the download begins. Your other legal rights are unaffected. Our terms of sale explain this in full.
